Part I of the Integrative Paper requires that you identify a character from the required text,The Other Wes Moore. You should select one of the two main characters in the text (one of the two Wes Moores).
Imagine that youve interviewed a participant, Wes Moore, for your paper. Most people do not recall their earliest years. Wes Moore may have shared impressions (in the book narrative) of his infancy and early childhood based on the stories of others, or photographs, etc. You may write about these stages based on what Wes believed about his development. Since the book will not have every detail about your participants life, you may need to take creative liberty and fill in any blanks in the narrative with what you think could be true.
Based on your imagined interviews drawn from their life stories in the book:
Write a narrative of your participants life, describing the persons life over time: infancy; early childhood; late childhood; adolescence; young adulthood; and middle and later adulthood if these stages apply.
It may be helpful to create a life timeline, with major events listed, such as births, moves, traumas, changes in family composition, employment, graduation, and so forth.
Describe key relationships, affiliations, and experiences, and how these influenced your participants development at each stage.
To reiterate, in Part I of the Integrative Paper, you are ONLY writing the narrative of one of the two Wes Moores.
